A growing national organization was struggling to develop On-the-Job training for its technically advanced roles – a dreaded task within the company.
Writing OJT standards for technically advanced roles can be intimidating and Cindy Walker of Mastermind One80, embraces the challenge to immerse herself in arenas that other people generally shy away from.
“It takes patience, listening and interpretation skills. The terminology and technology can be overwhelming if you lose any of those perspectives,” said Walker. “I actually enjoy the challenge.”
Rolling up sleeves and we began job shadowing key employees and vendors to extract process, equipment and task knowledge. Next we went on to collaborate with leaders on developing certification requirements and implementing the training plan.
